Last week, I covered a monospace font that’s great for print: Inconsolata. This week, it’s time for a good on-screen monospace font, and that comes from one of my favourite font families, Ubuntu.

At size 12, Ubuntu Mono is well-suited for terminal windows, although the bold variant can look ugly at times. For printing, this doesn’t beat Inconsolata.

Google Fonts has almost every open source font on the planet and this is no exception. Get it.
